McKenzie Bull Sale 2025 Fall Sale Terms and Conditions
Sale order:
Bulls will sell in the order listed in the catalog. The LOT number can be found on the green tag in the left ear. We will sell the 18 month old bulls first, then the
yearling bulls. Please listen for announcements regarding sale order.
Commercial Bulls:
Commercial bulls are non-registerable bulls. These bulls are treated just like our registered bulls, they have all the data including genetic testing. As they are 100% pure Angus, we can use the genetic testing tools and can therefore make some prediction as to how they will contribute to your herd.
Fertility and Health:
All sale bulls are guaranteed virgin and have passed a breeding soundness exam with excellent semen quality. All bulls in the sale have been trichomoniasis tested. The testing of these animals was performed on February 5 and 6, 2024 by Dr. Ronald Box, DVM.
OUT OF STATE TRAVEL: All bulls sold will be able to travel on the day of sale. PLEASE let the cashier know that you will be needing health papers and we will have those available for you. We will have a veterinarian available to get those papers written for you at the sale.
Delivery options:
We think that you will want to get your bulls to your ranch as soon as possible and encourage buyers to bring a trailer with them to the sale. However, if you need to arrange transportation of bulls please contact Sarah or Houston; we will work out delivery options for you.
Loading:
All bulls will be paid for before loading unless other arrangements are made. Please see the cashier to settle up prior to loading your bull; you will need your invoice/loading ticket when picking up your bull(s). Please listen to general announcements indicating location of loading and personnel responsible for loading. Please help us and double check the ear tag and lot number to ensure that you are getting the bull you purchased.
Guarantee: We guarantee that all animals in the sale are fertile to the best of our knowledge. If a bull is injured at any time in the first breeding season (90 days) so as to make them functionally infertile, we will offer a suitable replacement if available. If not available, we will offer you a credit equal to the bull’s purchase price minus the salvage value received for that bull. We ask that you contact us prior to the disposal of the animal. HOWEVER, we cannot offer a guarantee on a death of an animal.
Please remember:
It is important to consider that these are young bulls; they will need to be taken care of to ensure that they continue to grow out good and be able to serve your herd. It is essential that a young bull not get too thin and are turned out at a stocking ratio of 15 cows/1 bull.
