McKenzie Sales Info March 10, 2026
Our 20th Annual McKenzie Bull Sale will be Tuesday, March 10, 2026.
What a wild ride it has been for the cattle industry in 2025! Record prices for cattle, and prices are expected to hold strong for a while longer. As a country we are producing more high-quality beef than ever before, and the demand remains strong. This spring much of the Southwest had some relief from the drought, but there is no doubt that many continue to struggle with drought conditions. Many herds were reduced to deal with the drought and are hesitant about rebuilding. With a smaller cow herd, now is your time to invest in quality genetics to improve your herd as you start expanding. We have found through feeding our own commercial calves that there is a reward for producing efficient, high marbling beef. As the calf market is predicted to have strong prices, especially for the higher quality
beef, we believe that an investment in genetics will definitely pay.
Best wishes and thank you,
Sarah and the MLL Team

Please remember:
It is important to consider that these are young bulls; they will need to be taken care of to ensure that they continue to grow out good and be able to serve your herd. It is essential that a young bull not get too thin and are turned out at a stocking ratio of 15 cows/1 bull.
I am very happy with the performance of our MLL sired cattle in the feedlot.
They gained over 4lbs/day and graded 96% choice or better.
